Q7: Cat bit your tongue?

This 13yr old boy has a swelling under his tongue that is causing him discomfort and difficulty in articulating.

What is your diagnosis?

What is the precursor to this lesion?

Is it a ranula or a cyst at the floor of the tongue?

No, in fact this is a PYOGENIC GRANULOMA of the undersurface of the tongue.

It is usually preceded by trauma - such as tongue-biting or piercing.

I think the guy is hispanic and has a lack of prayer in his life.
